BIOG

Jorge is one of the most sought after violinists of our day. He is known for his painstaking and exciting approach, performing music in the style and instruments for which it was composed, from the Middle Ages to the 21st century.

Jorge is the founder and director of the Spanish ensemble Tercia Realidad, and is concertmaster of ensembles such as: L'Arpeggiata (FR), The Hanover Band (United Kingdom), Forma Antiqva (ES), La Risonanza (IT), Capella Cracoviensis (Poland) & I Fagiolini (United Kingdom)

RETHINKING BACH:  CELLO SUITES

A new documentary series around groundbreaking solo violin arrangements of Bach's masterworks directed & performed by Jorge Jiménez.

The second season, around recently unearthed 1866 mindblowing violin arrangement of Bach's Cello Suites is out now!

Farinelli's Violin

EL VIOLIN DE FARINELLI is the new award winning programme by Jorge Jiménez & Tercia Realidad. 

A sound fiction in which Farinelli's most celebrated arias are stripped of their words and returned to their essence: the music.

ZENITH is the latest groundbreaking music programme created by Jorge Jiménez and Anna Stegmann.

In LUNARIS, each phase of the moon is associated with expressions and moods that are musically enacted throughout the programme.
