A personal solo violin programme bringing together Federico García Lorca’s Canciones populares españolas with music by J. S. Bach and Fritz Kreisler.
Rooted in the meeting of Spanish popular tradition, Bach’s timeless musical language and Kreisler’s distinctive evocation of Spain, Soledad explores the different ways in which music can carry memory, place and identity across time.
The programme has particular resonance in 2027, marking the centenary of the Generation of ’27, with Lorca at its heart.

JORGE JIMENEZ
Jorge Jiménez is a Spanish violinist recognised for his expressive artistry and versatility, performing repertoire from the Middle Ages to the present day. Founder and director of Tercia Realidad and first violin of ensembles such as L’Arpeggiata and Forma Antiqva, he has appeared worldwide as soloist and director, including at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. His discography includes releases on Atlantic Records, Naxos, Hyperion, Pan Classics and GWK Records, with highlights such as Lunaris (2021) and El violín de Farinelli, winner of the prestigious Sello FestClásica 2023.
