Bach.Pure brings the complete cycle together in two concerts, performed by Jorge Jiménez, whose work as a violinist, director and artistic leader is rooted in historical performance practice.
Moving between the intimacy of the solo sonatas and the monumental architecture of the partitas, the programme reveals the extraordinary range of Bach’s writing for violin — from the profound opening of the G minor Sonata to the monumental Chaconne, and from intricate counterpoint to the rhythmic freedom and dance of the partitas.

JORGE JIMENEZ
Jorge Jiménez is a Spanish violinist recognised for his expressive artistry and versatility, performing repertoire from the Middle Ages to the present day. Founder and director of Tercia Realidad and first violin of ensembles such as L’Arpeggiata and Forma Antiqva, he has appeared worldwide as soloist and director, including at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. His discography includes releases on Atlantic Records, Naxos, Hyperion, Pan Classics and GWK Records, with highlights such as Lunaris (2021) and El violín de Farinelli, winner of the prestigious Sello FestClásica 2023.
